Our recent survey* reveals just how important it is to consumers that our gin is made by an independent family business. In fact, 93% of online participants agreed it was their preference to purchase goods from businesses that are independent or are family-run. Run with likeminded family business, Maldon Salt, the survey results also confirm key findings such as quality, care and trust were all primary attributes that encouraged them to buy from a family business. Furthermore, 70% of participants felt that buying independently gave that ‘personal touch’ they were looking for.
“Supporting local people and business” was another important factor mentioned by many during the survey, with some mentioning that they “felt a sense of community” by buying from a family business.
