Pop-up Opera at the Home of English Gin

“If music be the food of love, play on…”

William Shakespeare, Twelfth Night

With the addition of a couple of gin cocktails, we couldn’t agree more. We like to think that Shakespeare would approve of our upcoming collaboration with Pop-up Opera, providing you with a unique, immersive evening of gin and opera in the heart of our distillery.

Whether you’re an opera aficionado, a culture vulture looking to explore what London has to offer or whether you simply fancy doing something a little different with True English Gin in hand, join us on Thursday 20th September as we host the opening night of Pop-up Opera’s UK tour of ‘La Tragédie de Carmen, Peter Brook’s re-imagining of Bizet’s masterpiece Carmen. This timeless, intense and tragic tale of love and unhinged jealousy may not always be as you expect – not least because it will be brought to life against the backdrop of our copper pot stills…

Welcome G&Ts will be poured at 7pm and the performance will start at 7.30pm. Some Spanish snacks will be waiting on your chair for when the performance begins, along with a £5 off voucher for our distillery tours. We’ll also serve up a Spanish-inspired gin cocktail during the 20 minute interval and we’ll be rounding off the evening with a further cocktail so there’s little chance you’ll be going thirsty.

Tickets to the opening night of ‘La Tragédie de Carmen’ at the Home of English Gin cost £45 and are bookable through our events page.
